I first started purchasing old Eltons t shirts on the weekend we got married in Tenby, Pembrokeshire in general has always been a special place to me and having a piece of clothing produced in that area means a lot!

I have recently been diagnosed with motor neurone disease which shook myself and my entire family to the core! It's at a time like this I need to feel empowered and above all stand for something! Each time I put on an old Eltons t shirt I'm reminded of good times, not only that the slogan 'keeping your head forever high' is something I've taken on board very seriously, the combination of feeling that connection and keeping positive really does make a difference! In fact a few of my mates have started purchasing the t shirts in support of my continued battle.

I'm going to carry on inspiring others by being proactive and positive with my condition and hope that others find strength in my approach, my aim is to convey the message that sometimes what happens to us is out of our control but the way we react to adversity is very much in our hands.

As I write this message I'm sat on a bench looking over Tenby harbour, it's 06:30 am and the sun is about to rise, no matter what happens the sun keeps rising and so will I!

I have a tattoo that says 'I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul' the words never meant as much to me as they do right now! Keep positive everyone and keep pushing forward!
